What do I need to get started?
A clear photo or scan of the birth announcement, a baby photo, and the baby’s name. That name appears in the story. You will also share a few personal details, such as a favorite cuddly toy or something about the family.
Will the birth announcement be copied exactly?
No. The card provides visual inspiration for colors, atmosphere, and illustrative elements. The book receives a new design and a completely original story.
Can I make the book if my child is no longer a baby?
Yes. You can make this book at any age. Use a recent photo for the character; the birth announcement can still inspire the visual style.
Can I preview the book before paying?
Yes. You first see every page and can adjust text and illustrations. You only order the hardcover when you are happy with it.
What happens to the photos I upload?
Your photos are processed securely to create the book and are then deleted. You can find more information in our privacy policy.
Does this work as a newborn gift?
Yes, you can make the book yourself for someone else’s baby. Ask the parents if you can use their birth announcement and a baby photo, and agree on the story details with them. You can preview the whole book before ordering.
Can a big brother or sister appear in the book too?
Yes. Alongside the baby, there is room for one extra character, such as a big brother or sister. Describe who joins the story and optionally add a photo for a recognizable appearance.
