We make books that still mean something later
BoekjesAtelier started close to home: with the idea that a child could recognize themselves in a story not just by name, but as the actual main character. That is why we are building a way to create personalized children's books that feel warm, carefully made, and safe with children's photos.

Why we are building this
A personalized children's book is not a standard gift. You are giving something where a child sees themselves, their own world, and small familiar details reflected back.
That is why we care about more than beautiful illustrations. We also care about the process around them: clear choices, control before ordering, secure photo handling, and a book printed as a lasting memory.
It started with our own child
When we became parents ourselves, reading aloud suddenly felt different. We wanted to make a book where our child was not just a name on the page, but truly at the center of the story. That first book became the beginning of BoekjesAtelier.

We like to keep things personal. BoekjesAtelier is run by Wouter and Lisa.
What we pay attention to
Personal, not generic
A book should feel recognizable for the child and family it is made for.
Safe from the start
Children's photos and personal details call for restraint, clear explanation, and as little storage as possible.
Preview first, order later
You should be able to see what you are getting. That is why BoekjesAtelier is built around previewing, choosing, and adjusting before the book is printed.
